由全美华人家长协会（CAPA）主办的2024全国青少年领导力与创新力展示大华府地区初赛将于10月12日在马里兰州的Richard Montgomery高中隆重举行。这是一场汇聚全国杰出青少年的盛会，旨在为6至12年级学生提供一个展现领导能力、创新思维与个人才华的平台。目前已经有20多位青少年报名组队参加四项比赛的角逐。
此次展示设有四大比赛类别分别为1、社区服务；2、公众参与；3、创业商业计划；4、开放麦表演。比赛将展示学生们在服务社会、影响公共政策、设计创业项目以及才艺表演方面的独特见解与创新能力。举办此次比赛的目的旨在激发青少年内心的领导力与创新潜力，为他们提供一个广阔的舞台，助力他们成为未来的领袖与开拓者。初赛表现突出的选手将有机会被推荐参加全国主会场展示，或获得专家评审和投资支持。

Vinav Shah speaks about soil science in chinese!
About the Speaker
Vinav Shah is a junior at the Pingry High School from NJ.
He has worked on research to determine the effects of confinement on fluids in nanoporous materials, focusing on system automation, in addition to research on electrochemical batteries. Particularly interested in environmental issues.
Vinav built an apparatus to quantitatively measure atmospheric pollutants, collecting samples to analyze composition and image data from a scanning electron microscope. These experiences have led him to believe in bringing new technology and insights from research to the real world, where it can benefit humanity.
In his free time, Vinav loves to design and play board games.
